Qualcomm New Chip Benchmark Results: AnTuTu Snapdragon 820 Scores 131648 Points

Qulacomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset has been unveiled as the company’s latest flagship mobile SoC which is still not available for those OEMs who are expected to go with the upcoming and powerful Qualcomm SD 820 processor on its 2016 flagship smartphones. It is expected to be made available to OEM in early 2016, actually launched today in China and has been made its appearance on AnTuTu benchmarks website.

It’s now official. In China, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 has managed to score an impressive 131,648 on AnTuTu. Probably, it been the highest ranking seen on any of the current chipsets. It was also shown that a prototype phone running the SD820 chip, performance on phone was demoed which was equipped with Snapdragon 820, 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, QHD display, fingerprint sensor and 21MP rear-facing camera.

The prototype that was in demonstration was boasting the new Snapdragon 820 processor and the device was running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, where the display of 2K, paired with 3 gigs of memory. The benchmark results are impressive to say the least with the SD820 powered phone managing an astonishing 131,648!
However, the Snapdragon 820 with AnTuTu shown off powerful results for GeekBench as the device managed to gain 2320 points in a single core test and 5396 points in the multi-core test.
About Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, uses an all-new custom Hyro cres and the single-core performance result in GeekBench registered a 60-percent improvement over the Samsung’s Exynos 7420. The Qualcomm’s new chip scores almost 54,000 points in the 3D test, where as Kirin 950 only scores over 21,000 points.

We have to see on which hardware this Snapdragon 820 SoC integrated with in next year? Could beXiaomi, LeTV, Huawei, Vivo, Oppo, Meizu in China may go with this supersonic processor first. Rest belongs to Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony, etc., later on.
Expected to see Snapdragon 820 on Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus in 2016, followed by ZTE Nubia series and others following the trend.
